A winter sunset in the Trossachs, Scotland. Often on cold, sunny days when the sun is going down, the fields and trees nearby my home are lit up by the most wonderful red and golden light, creating a fabulous, other-worldly atmosphere. It never lasts for long, perhaps 15 minutes at most, but it is a sight that demands you drop everything and just drink it all in. I had to paint it.
